Crossout is the post-apocalyptic MMO Action game in which you can craft your unique battle vehicles from a myriad of interchangeable parts, ride them directly into combat and destroy your enemies in explosive PvP online battles in the air and on the ground.

[PC] Crossout 0.10.0. Adventure

Survivors! It's time to begin a bona fide Adventure! This is a special and experimental mode for us, in which you will be able to complete special mission chain united by the storyline “Awakening”. The story will tell reveal some of the secrets of the Crossout world. This mode will also have additional “Group missions” and “Off-road” missions.

We are happy to announce that closed testing has already begun! Ways to obtain special early access to the mode are described below. Do not miss the chance to be among the first explorers of the Blood Rocks!

During the closed testing of the “Adventure” mode, the manufacturing of parts rewarded in the mode will be unavailable. You will be able to complete all types of missions and accumulate resources, but the manufacturing of parts will open simultaneously with the conclusion of closed testing and release of the mode for all players without exception.

New “Adventure” mode

Features:

  • “Adventure” is a cooperative PvE mode. Fighting other players is not available in this mode.
  • The “Adventure” takes place at the “Blood Rocks”. The terrain has been seriously transformed, and now raiders of several factions are trying to settle it, protecting their camps and territories from uninvited outsiders.
  • Your stay in this mode is not time-limited. The player can freely move around the area, complete missions and explore the zone.
  • Players can get into the “Adventure” from the World Map. Just select the blue icon “Awakening” and join a queue by pressing the “To Battle” button.
  • You can interrupt a mission at any time and return to the garage. Having built a different armoured vehicle and once again returning to the “Adventure”, you will start at the same mission in the story chain where you stopped before. To return, you just need to find the mission highlighted in orange on the map, get to it and continue exploring the Blood Rocks in search of answers to your questions.
  • Enemy power in the mode depends on the armoured car on which the player entered the mode.
  • A player can go on an Adventure either alone or as part of a previously assembled group (the maximum number of participants in a group is 4). If a player participates in “Adventure” alone, then 3 more random players may be in the zone along with him. Please note that you can not assemble a group directly inside the mode.
  • If you invited friends to help, then to continue your storyline you have to be the one to accept the story mission. Note that your group is always sent to progress through the adventure of the survivor who accepts the mission. And each player in the group may have different progress in the storyline.
  • In case your armoured vehicle is almost destroyed while exploring the zone, you can use the “To repair shop” button (available in the Esc-menu). After that, your armoured vehicle will be taken to the nearest repair shop and fully repaired. Please note that the button does not work when completing story missions.
  • We have added new medals related to the “Adventure” mode. Unlocking one of them will reward you with a unique portrait!

Missions available in the “Adventure” mode can be divided into 3 types:

  • “Awakening”. This is a special chain of missions that will tell you about some of the secrets of Crossout and about the world in which the game takes place.
    • Each Survivor can complete the whole storyline from beginning to end only once.
    • Yet even after completing the storyline, the player can join the mode as part of a group and help his friends complete the story missions. Please note that the reward for repeatedly completing the plot missions will be reduced.
    • Missions are marked on the map in orange. When approaching the starting point of the mission, you will see red smoke from a flare.
    • For completing the “Awakening” story missions, the player gains experience for the co-driver, reputation (both with the Engineers faction and with the second selected faction), a new resource “Engraved shells”, scrap metal and copper.
    • The mission can be cancelled or restarted from the beginning at any time. To do this, open the location map (“Tab” key) and select “Cancel mission” or “Restart”.
  • “Group missions”. From time to time, important events occur on the map, when all players who are in the zone at the moment can take part.
    • The missions are randomly generated at random spots on the map.
    • In order to take part in a group mission, the player must reach the spot on the map within the time allotted until the start of the event.
    • Such missions are accepted automatically if you are nearby.
    • Completing these missions is optional.
    • You can see the detailed conditions of the event, the time before it starts and the location by opening the zone map (the “Tab” key).
    • Group missions are indicated on the map in green.
    • For completing group missions, the player gains experience for the co-driver, reputation (both with the Engineers faction, and with the second selected faction), and a new resource “Engraved shells”.

  • Side missions.
    • Side missions deal with smaller tasks such as: destroying raiders, picking up items, patrolling areas, etc.
    • Such missions are marked on the map in blue. While moving around the zone, you may also notice lights illuminating certain points. In such places, you can accept side missions.
    • For completing side missions, the player gains experience for the co-driver, reputation (both with the Engineers faction, and with the second selected faction), and a new resource “Engraved shells”.
    • The mission can be cancelled at any time. To do this, open the location map (“Tab” key) and select “Cancel mission”.

In addition, while moving around the location, you may also stumble upon heaps of unidentified trash. And even among them, you can find useful resources. Don't be shy, grab anything that's not nailed down! Metal scraps, a couple of sheets of copper, a few shells — everything is useful in the garage.

New resource — “Engraved shells”

  • The resource can be obtained for completing all types of missions in the “Adventure” mode and when collecting “trash piles”.
  • The resource is non-tradable.
  • Shells are kept in storage and are not removed from the game over time.
  • The shells obtained during the “Adventure” mode's closed testing will not be removed during the transition to the open testing.
  • Earned shells with a certain amount of other resources can be exchanged for unique items and parts on the workbench “Engineer CNC machine”.

New parts and items on the workbench “Engineer CNC machine”

Note that the production of new items and parts will not be available during closed testing of the mode and will open simultaneously with the opening of access for all players without exception.

Also note that the production of parts and objects will open gradually as you progress through the story mission chain.

Please, note that the mode will be available for everyone for free after the closed testing finishes!

The seat is both familiar and unfamiliar. I ran my finger over the leather — I remember this feeling. But when I look at it, it's like the first time. Where am I? What happened? I don't remember anything. Is this my armoured car? There's a crowbar under the seat. Muscle memory. Automatic. Yet everything around me is unfamiliar. The rocks. The gorge. What happened yesterday? It feels like all the memories will come back in a moment. Just need to wait a bit. Memory is like a muddy swamp covered with fog. Scraps of memories, faces, cars, fire, sand, rocks. No, I remember nothing. Who am I? What happened to me? All questions, no answers. But I have to get to the bottom of it. Somewhere deep inside me, I know that not only my forgotten life but also the lives of people dear to me depend on the answers to these questions. I have to remember. And I will remember everything!

Voiceover for in-game events

Have you ever thought about how your teammates would react to this or that situation in a real battle? Then this feature is definitely for you! Now your allies will react to all important events during a battle, be it the start of the battle, the detection of opponents, the destruction of an opponent, the capture of your own and enemy base, etc.

  • Voiceover works only in “Mission” and “Raid” modes.
  • Voice volume can be adjusted in the menu (“Esc” — “Settings” — “Audio”).
  • In the same menu, you can completely turn off the voiceovers (the item “Voice-over for gameplay events”) and change its language (the item “Voice language”).

Workbench “Expert Decorator”

Earlier we announced our plans to close the workbench “Expert Decorator”. A detailed announcement can be found in this blog.

  • The “Expert Decorator” workbench is no longer available.
  • Production of “Random CK Container” is no longer available.
  • Containers with CK and the CKs themselves can still be purchased on the market. We remind you that this feature is going to be disabled near the end of January 2019.
  • The production of the “Random Paint Container” has been moved to the “Engineer Workbench” — a workbench that does not require a rental fee.
  • The recipe for “Random Paint Container” has been changed. The new recipe is as follows:
  • 400 units of scrap metal.
  • 300 units of electronics.
  • 400 units of copper.
  • 300 units of batteries.
  • Attention! If at the time of the workbench's shutdown you had paid uses, then the coins will be returned to the storage in the amount of 150 coins / 1 use.

Parts

General

Now, when firing at allies, the impulse from projectiles will not affect their armoured vehicles.

Cabins

Cabin “Duster”

Attachment points have been added to the front of the cabin.

Cabin “Favourite”

Attachment points have been added to the lower front part of the cabin.

Weapons

Tesla emitter “Spark III”

“Spark III” will no longer be able to destroy minelayer projectiles that are placed on the armoured vehicles of allies (barrels of the “Porcupine”, wheels of the “Fortune”, traps of the “Kapkan”).

Movement parts

Mechanical leg “ML 200”

Improve the behaviour of armoured vehicles with mechanical legs on slopes.

Salvaging parts

Changed the number and type of resources received for salvaging parts (depending on the rarity of the part):

  • “Common” part: 1 unit of scrap metal.
  • “Rare” part: 150 units of scrap metal and 50 units of copper
  • “Epic” part: 80 units of scrap metal, 150 units of copper 170 pieces wires and 80 units of plastic.
  • “Legendary” part: 50 units of scrap metal, 250 units of copper, 250 units of batteries, 250 units of electronics.
  • “Relic” part: 350 units of copper, 350 units of electronics and 350 units of batteries.

Interface

  • Now, when viewing the “Blueprints” section, windows with additional information about the craft and descriptions are hidden during the rotation (inspection) of the armoured car.
  • An option has been added to the game settings that allows you to enable/disable the inverse control of armoured vehicles with hovers and mech. legs during reversing. By default, inverse control is disabled. You can enable it in the “Settings” menu — “Interface” —“Inverse turn”.
  • A grid of coordinates has been added to the zone map (“Tab” key). The display of the grid can be toggled in the “Settings” menu — “Interface” — “Coordinate grid”.
  • In build mode, an indicator has been added to the part currently in hand that displays the number of such parts in stock.

Miscellaneous

  • The process of updating the game has been optimized. The in-game archive format will be changed, and the current update will require downloading more data than usual. Optimization will allow us to reduce the volume of future updates.
  • Now, after the countdown to the start of the battle, new players will not be able to join the battle, even if one or more players leave the battle.
  • The camera's behaviour has been improved in situations when the enemy/ally’s armoured vehicle is on top of the player’s armoured vehicle, and when the view is blocked by the vehicle with which the collision occurred. Now in such situations, the camera will change its angle, and the armoured vehicle that blocks the view will be transparent.
  • Improved visual effects for reduced durability of weapons and modules in battle.
  • The effect of sawing the enemy with the “Circular saw” weapon has been improved.
  • The effect of firing the cricket 1M rocket has been improved
  • Improved visual effects of water and dirt.

  • Added a sound for activation of the “Favourite” cabin's perk.
  • Optimized display of effects when the movement parts interact with various surfaces.
  • Improved a number of texts and descriptions.
  • Team chat is disabled in all fights that do not involve team interaction.
  • Improved faction blueprint “Viper” (“Engineers”).
