[PC] Crossout 0.9.110

Greetings to all survivors! As part of the Crossout update 0.9.110, we present the previously announced rework of seasons, daily tasks and wheel grip, as well as a number of balance tweaks, plus many interface improvements and fixes of known bugs.

Daily tasks

Please note that the transition to the new system of daily tasks will occur on August 27.

In this update, we are reworking the system of daily tasks. You can learn more about our plans in the special developer blog. Now the player is given several daily tasks, which are completed during the day. In parallel, we're removing the old system of daily login rewards and replacing it with a daily task. It is completed automatically immediately once you enter the game. You can still earn the current daily login rewards until August 27. Here you can read the early announcement of the planned changes. Tasks for staying in the game for 2 hours, a day, and 14 hours a week are also removed. The ‘Miner's container’ can now be obtained for completing a special weekly task.

Features of the new system:

  • The tasks are given once and are updated daily. Progress through unfinished tasks does not carry over to the next day.
  • The player is free to choose in which order and what tasks to complete.
  • Each task can be completed only once a day.
  • The player receives a certain amount of scrap metal for completing daily tasks.

List of daily tasks:

  • Enter the game: 40 units of scrap metal.
  • Win in 5 PvP-battles (missions, brawls, clan battles): 75 units of scrap metal.
  • Win in 3 PvE battles (raids, Invasion): 75 units of scrap metal.
  • Win 5 battles in any mode with a weapon of the given type: 75 units of scrap metal.
  • Complete 1 operation on the market: 25 units of scrap metal.
  • Complete 5 daily tasks: 75 units of scrap metal.

Weekly tasks

Please note that the transition to a new system of weekly tasks will occur on August 27. Current season is prolonged till August 26 inclusive. Until then, all survivors have the opportunity to complete the seasons and get the rewards.

With the update 0.9.110, Crossout transitions to a new system of weekly tasks, which replaces the seasons.

Features of the new system:

  • Tasks are issued every week. The tasks are updated on Monday. With each new week, the progress through unfinished tasks from the previous week is reset and does not carry over.
  • The player is free to choose in which order and what tasks to complete.
  • Each task can be done once a week.
  • We are introducing a new resource — ‘Engineer badges’. Players receive a certain number of ‘Engineer badges’ for completing weekly tasks.
  • The accumulated badges can be exchanged in the ‘Workshop’ for a number of rewards:
    • 500 units of scrap metal for 300 badges.
    • 200 units of copper for 300 badges.
    • 500 units of wires for 500 badges. The reward is available from the 10th level of the Engineers faction.
    • 250 units of plastic for 500 badges. The reward is available from the 10th level of the Engineers faction.
    • ‘Wanderer's crate’ for 600 badges. The reward is available from the 10th level of the Engineers faction.
    • 200 units of electronics for 800 badges. The reward is available from the 14th level of the Engineers faction.
    • 200 units of batteries for 800 badges. The reward is available from the 14th level of the Engineers faction.
    • ‘Pathfinder's crate’ for 3000 badges. The reward is available from the 14th level of the Engineers faction.
  • Badges that have not been used are stored in the warehouse and do not expire with time.
  • Badges are an untradeable resource.

List of weekly tasks:

  • ‘Complete 25 daily tasks’. Reward: ‘Miner's container’. The task is available from level 1 of the Engineers faction.

Attention! The tasks for winning in easy and normal raids can't be completed in the raids of a higher difficulty.

Resources

  • Weekly limits are replaced by daily limits. Now every survivor can earn the following in battles daily:
    • 500 units of scrap metal
    • 400 units of wires
    • 200 units of batteries
  • The limits do not include the resources from the salvaged parts, the ones that were earned in the daily tasks, purchased on the market or exchanged for the Engineers badges in the Workshop.

Wheel grip rework

You can learn more about our plans in the special developer blog.

  • Now all wheels from a single rarity tier move equally great on hard surfaces, equally well on dense surfaces and get equally stuck in loose surfaces.
  • Grip with loose surfaces for wheels of basic and common rarities has been improved. Grip on hard and dense surfaces remained the same.
  • Grip with all surfaces for ‘rare’ wheels has been slightly improved with respect to the wheels of common rarity.
  • Grip with all surfaces for epic rarity wheels has been slightly improved with respect to the ‘rare’ wheels.
  • As part of the change, the center of mass for cabins is adjusted to reduce the likelihood of flipping of armored cars.

New pack Crossout — Insomnia

  • Unique armored car: ‘Spirit’;
  • Weapon: 3 machine guns ‘MM5-4 Vector’;
  • Rare cabin ‘Wyvern’ and rare engine ‘Hardcore’;
  • Unique character portrait: ‘Maxine’;
  • Unique sticker: ‘Spectral Flame’;
  • Unique paint can: ‘Half-light’;
  • Increased the limit of used parts to 55;
  • 650 in-game coins.

Everyone had to stay home alone once. But not Maxine. As a child, she found a walkie-talkie and has never left if behind since. None of the parents could remember when exactly the child had found that thing. Still, they let her keep the walkie-talkie — what's wrong with a kid interested in technology?

The voice came from the radio only at night. It told Maxine amazing stories: of stars shimmering above, worlds without man, and great unknown ships, which had to be watched.

The quiet life came to an end in a couple of years, when the voice ordered Maxine to smash all the TVs in the house and escape to the forest, fleeing from something terrible that would soon come. It was hard to find the girl. The final decision about her fate was made when Maxine refused to return and give away the radio. Obeying the will of her parents, she went to the clinic far from the city, where she encountered Crossout. Was that what the voice had warned her about?

Much blood has gone under the bridge since then. The voice changed, and Maxine is different too. But they are always together. Over the years, the voice's requests have become stranger and stranger, but Maxine trusts her old friend and constantly watches whether he warns her about something terrible again. It's amazing how tenacious sometimes batteries are in old radios...

Game modes

Raids

Steel cradle

Improved and changed raider spawn spots.

Frontier defence

  • Changed the mechanics of calculating the accrued parts for destruction of raiders.
  • The parts are now divided between all the players who participated in the destruction of a raider, in accordance with the damage they dealt.
  • When the raider is destroyed by a defensive turret, the parts are divided equally among all participants of the raid.

Missions

Added new raider blueprints from 6000 to 10000 PS.

We thank BTKR and RKTB clans for their help in creating those blueprints!

Clan battles

Players are no longer excluded from the battle for inactivity.

Parts

Structural parts

  • Added a new structural part ‘Pipetooth’
    • 2 parts are issued when you reach level 3 in the ‘Firestarters’ faction.
    • 1 part is issued when you reach level 8 in the ‘Firestarters’ faction.
    • 1 parts is issued when you reach level 12 in the ‘Firestarters’ faction.

Weapons

‘Fortune’ minelayer

  • Projectiles no longer explode upon contact with allied vehicles;

‘Reaper’ minigun

  • Changed the weapon's perk. It no longer overheats while shooting.
  • Damage increased by 9%.
  • Barrel spooling time is increased by 0.5 sec.
  • Barrel stopping time is reduced by 1 sec.

Developer comment: ‘We decided to remove the old perk, because it did not add unique situations and gameplay moments. Due to the ability's randomness, the player, as a rule, could not use it effectively. The new perk will allow the minigun to deal constant damage and effectively control the terrain.’

Weapon booster ‘Tormentor’

  • It no longer heats melee weapons and no longer increases damage dealt to them.

Developer comment: ‘Since the module was activated during contact with the enemy, the major damage that was done to the weapon was the explosion of enemy modules. We are sure that the heating from the Tormentor's perk aggravated such situations, limited the possibility of using melee crafts and conflicted with the task of the module’.

‘Lancelot’ explosives

  • Bonus damage from the unique perk for every 300m traversed is reduced by 5%.

Developer comment: ‘Lancelot's perk gave excessive bonuses, which made one-time damage in a collision unjustifiably high.’

Flamethrower ‘Draco’

  • Flamethrower durability is increased by 10% (from 283 units to 310 units).

Developer comment: ‘Draco is a quite effective weapon, but it still slightly loses when compared with other legendary guns.’

Market

Now the purchase of any goods on the market is carried out without delay for verification.

Interface

  • Descriptions of all movement parts (except hovers) now have information about their effect on the power of the armored car.
  • Improved in-game chat
    • The chat settings menu now has a font size option.
    • The chat settings menu now has a window unlock option. After unlocking, the chat window can be moved around the screen and its size can be resized by dragging the bottom right corner of the window.
    • If you hide the chat window (for example, by pressing the ‘Esc’ key or entering a battle), the unsent message in the input window is saved.
    • Added a "Reset window settings" option
  • Improved font scaling depending on screen resolution.
  • Redesigned the personal survivor file window, added information tabs, battle log and received medals and patches. We also added a ‘quick access’ button to the portrait, which allows you to add a player to your friends, invite them to a group or to a clan.
  • Added a ‘Liked’ tab to the exhibition that saves all the blueprints you've liked.
  • Improved the interface of daily tasks.
  • The clan application window now displays the current level of the player who posted the application.
  • Improved the crosshairs for guns with slow-moving projectiles (except ‘Mandrake’).

  • Improved the display of progress through initial Engineer reputation level tasks.
  • Added an animation for new tasks in raids.

Misceleneous

  • In build mode the player can now take a second cabin, even if one is already placed on the armored car.

  • Now, with significant damage to the ‘Torero’ cabin, its sound changes.
  • Improved the ‘Porcupine’ minelayer model when there are no projectiles.
  • Improved projectile hit effects for ‘Spike-1’ and ‘Phoenix’ weapons.

  • Fixed a bug where base capture could continue, even if the enemy player managed to return to the base circle.
  • Improved a number of texts and descriptions.
  • Fixed a bug where even after changing maps in the ‘Bedlam’ rotation players could get to the previous map.
  • Fixed bugs in the raid ‘Data Theft’ on the map ‘Rock City’:
    • Incorrect position of cargo.
    • Incorrect raider route towards the tower.
  • Fixed a bug on the ‘Lost Coast’ map, where it was possible to get through the gates without blowing them up.
  • Fixed bugs with texture display, incorrect collision of environment objects and their incorrect location on a number of maps.
  • Fixed a bug with looping gunshot sounds when switching between players in spectator mode.
  • Fixed a bug with a constant collision sound of the ‘Torero’ cabin when it flipped.
  • Fixed a bug with frames for portraits received for rating games.
  • Fixed a bug with incorrect display of the confirmation window for overwriting a blueprint.
  • Fixed a bug with incorrect ‘Battle Royale’ mode animation on the world map.

This patchnote reveals all the key in-game changes and doesn't include all the fixes. Changes, that are aimed at improvement of Crossout, appear constantly and may not require their own patch.

Hotfix 22.08.18

Having carefully analyzed player feedback and suggestions concerning the new limit system, we decided to return to the standard weekly resource limit system. But we still think, that active players should be earning more resources over a week. This is why the resource limits have been extended and are now as follows:

  • Scrap metal: 3500 units/week
  • Wires: 2800 units/week
  • Batteries: 1400 units/week

Weekly limits will now update on Mondays.

Hotfix 23.08.18

  • Improved client stability
  • Fixed a number of bugs that lead to the game crashes.

Hotfix 24.08.18

  • Improved a number of in-game texts and descriptions.

Hotfix 17.09.18

  • Fixed known Steam login issues.
