First iteration of the new ranked mode
Hello, survivors!
We have already mentioned that we were preparing to share something new for those of you who appreciate the serious competitive side of Crossout. The “Battle for uranium” announced yesterday will launch with the familiar set of rules, but the next uranium wars are going to become a testing ground for an entirely new format.
The first iteration of the alternative ranked mode “Gauntlet of the survivors” will launch in May! We’ve developed special rules for this new event to ramp up the competitive edge: battle conditions get tougher as your rank rises, and the blueprint selection system has received a major update. Intrigued? Let’s dive in!
We remind you that all the new features described in the “Developer blog” are not final and may be changed before they are introduced into the game or may not make it into the game at all. This also applies to all visual materials.
When do we start?
Let’s start by setting the timeframe. The mode will be available from May 18 to May 31, according to the following schedule (times are in GMT):
- Monday: 11:00–15:00;
- Tuesday: 17:00–21:00;
- Wednesday: 00:00–04:00;
- Thursday: 11:00–15:00 and 17:00–21:00;
- Friday: 00:00–04:00;
- Saturday: 11:00–15:00 and 17:00–21:00;
- Sunday: 00:00–04:00 and 11:00–15:00.
Previously, these time slots were occupied by “Clan war” and “Clan war: Leviathans”. For the duration of “Gauntlet of the survivors”, both modes will be disabled, and their rankings will be frozen.
It’s also important to note that in the first week, all players will start with zero rating points. At the end of the first week, there will be a partial reset of rating points before the second week begins.

More about the rules
To enter the mode, you must be a member of a clan or a band. The “Gauntlet of the survivors” is a team-based event, so having a coordinated group is key to victory, and we recommend playing with friends. However, you can still try out the mode and find allies even if you’re playing solo.
The mode is divided into three categories: “Candidates”, “Hardened”, and “Experts”. Getting into the right category is easy: it’s determined automatically based on your rating. If you play as a group, the highest rating among the participants will determine the group’s rating.
Each category is a specific mission with its own rules. We’ll tell you more about them below.
“Gauntlet of the survivors: Candidates”:
- League required to participate: Steel or Bronze;
- Blueprints: from 10k to 13k PS;
- Fight until you win 1 time.
“Gauntlet of the survivors: Hardened”:
- League required to participate: Silver, Gold or Elite;
- Blueprints: from 10k to 16k PS;
- Fight until you win 2 times.
“Gauntlet of the survivors: Experts”:
- League required to participate: Master or Legend;
- Blueprints: from 10k with no upper limit;
- Fight until you win 3 times.
This system ensures that the ranked mode is balanced and fair. The higher a player’s rank, the more powerful blueprint they will need. This guarantees that opponents in each category have armoured cars of roughly the same efficiency.

Let’s take a closer look at how the rounds work. In the “Candidates” category, a single victory is enough, whereas the “Hardened” and “Experts” categories require two and three victories, respectively. The higher the category, the longer and more intense the battle. We believe that a greater number of rounds will give you the chance to recover from a poor start, test the consistency of your gameplay, and assess your ability to adapt during the battle. A single lucky win will no longer decide the outcome of the entire battle. The mode is focused on consistency and skill for the long run.
When you first move to the “Bronze” and “Silver” leagues, you will receive Engineer badges, and for all subsequent leagues, uranium ore. Additionally, the top 500 players will receive an extra amount of the uranium ore as a reward at the end of the event.

The “Hardened” and “Experts” categories have an updated blueprint selection mechanic. If you win a round using a specific blueprint, it is locked and becomes unavailable for the remainder of the battle, unless it is your only available option.
This means that with every round won, the pool of available blueprints shrinks, forcing both sides to adapt their tactics and seek new solutions to secure victory. You’ll have to adapt and demonstrate mastery of different playstyles. This approach makes battles more unpredictable and victories truly well-deserved.
P.S. To give you enough time to consider your initial choice, the time allotted for selecting your first blueprint has been increased from 10 to 15 seconds on PC and has been increased to 25 seconds on consoles.

That’s all for now. See you in future developer blog entries. Good luck in battles!
