What to expect in the upcoming update. October 2025

Hello, survivors!
The Halloween is almost upon us. We’ve prepared many new features to really mix things up in the Valley and prepare the Wasteland for the most frightening, terrifying (and so on) celebration of the year.
Get ready for: two new brawls, new Halloween visuals and sounds, return of the “Steel troopers” and “Operation: Blackout”, and the festive Shaman’s cauldron with tricky treats. And that’s not all. Let’s dive in!
We remind you that all the new features described in the “Developer blog” are not final and may be changed before they are introduced into the game or may not make it into the game at all. This also applies to all visual materials.
New scary brawls
This year, we’ve prepared two new brawls with unique gameplay never before featured in Crossout.
One of those is similar to the “Spring mayhem”: the same big map, lots of different roles and bases to capture. But what if a third side enters the classic conflict? How would you feel if giant millipedes start crawling around the battlefield, destroying anyone they touch? The answers to those questions are yours to figure out. If you manage to survive.
The second brawl is unlike any other previous mode at all, but it fits the Halloween spirit perfectly. Imagine: a city covered by thick fog. Four survivors wandering around, looking for generators to fix. No weapons to shoot. And a giant monster, controlled not by some soulless AI, but by a survivor, just like you. And the monster has no mercy, their only goal is to catch you and frighten you to death. Reminds you of anything? Maybe. We hope you’ll like it.
New Halloween decorations
Words won’t do justice to the beautiful new decor. We’ve updated many elements of the maps’ interface, the garage, the environmental effects. Explosions and self-destruct effects are updated, we’ve added ghosts, flaming pumpkins, creepy crawlies… (you can disable those in the settings, don’t worry). And many more spooks!
P.S. Even shell casings are candy now.
Here are just a few examples:
There’s also new audio to go along with the visuals. Listen and immerse yourself in the atmosphere of the gloomy Wasteland.
The Shaman’s cauldron is also unusual this year. Instead of the upgrade recipes, the workbench will contain items that cannot be crafted otherwise.
The update will also introduce a number of other improvements and changes, bug fixes, and the Project “Shadow”. Wait, you’ve never heard of the Project “Shadow”? Oh, then you’re in for a treat (or a trick).
That’s all for now. Keep an eye on your sweets, survivors. Good luck in battles!
