Winter poll results
Hello, survivors! The holidays are over and this means it’s time to talk about the results of our traditional winter poll. Before we begin, thank you all very much for taking part in it! Now, let’s see your answers.
Please note that the source of all the information featured in this article are the results of the winter poll, and not the in-game statistics. The results of the poll may not be indicative of the in-game data.
Let's start with age. Most players are between 18 and 25 years old, followed by survivors between 26 and 35 years old. Interestingly, the situation was similar last year. This must mean that you don’t age. Will you share the secret to eternal youth? Please?
The distribution of survivors by country remains stable: most of you are from Russia and the CIS countries. Europe is in second place, and North America is in third. There’s nothing more to add.
We also asked you how you found out about Crossout. 43.2% responded that they don't even remember because it was so long ago. Well, you should have written it down. YouTube came in second (24% of responses), and recommendations from friends/acquaintances/relatives came in third (17.4% of responses). If your relatives recommended the game to you, I envy you. Everyone should have relatives like that.
83.9% of players in the Valley have been here for more than two years, and another 9.5% are survivors who have been with us for 1 to 2 years. So it's understandable why you don’t remember how you found out about Crossout. So much time has passed!
About 14% of players remember the wise saying “you can just hang around outside in the sun all day, tossing a ball around, or you can sit at your computer and do something that matters!” and spend a lot of time playing. There was even an episode about this in a popular series, but we can't remember which one... But anyway, that's not why we're here. 22% play every day, but only a little, while the rest prefer to log into Crossout not that often.
More than half of respondents said that they spend most of their time in Crossout designing vehicles and taking them into PvP battles. That’s exactly what we made the game for, so we approve!
More than 58% of players said that they build post-apocalyptic vehicles in the spirit of Mad Max, Fallout, and other similar franchises, which is not surprising at all. Street combat vehicles, desert buggies, and science fiction-inspired armoured cars are also popular among you. We would like to point out that English-speaking players are very fond of building vehicles similar to World War II equipment or something from the modern era.
You don’t have any clearly favorite weapons: more than 34% responded that they like to combine weapons and don’t single out any one in particular. However, machine guns are favored by 24% of players, and they do go brrrrrrr, so we understand.
We also found that you have very different motivations for playing Crossout. While Russian-speaking players mostly play for farming and progression (27.6% of responses), English-speaking players load the game for creativity and self-expression (option chosen by 31.7% of respondents).
Among other universes and franchises that you like, the most popular ones are, of course, those related to post-apocalypse in various forms: Mad Max, Fallout, and Metro. Obviously, if you didn’t like post-apocalypse, you wouldn’t be playing Crossout, right?
The same trend can be seen in other media: 65% of players are interested in post-apocalyptic themes in films, TV series, and books. Military technology and national armies came second, while third place is shared by cyberpunk and engineering skills combined with DIY. That’s good, because we’re doing serious engineering here!
It’s also quite obvious that most of you love action and survival games. After all, you are SURVIVORS! Other genres worth mentioning are RPG/fantasy and strategy (it's difficult to get by in the Valley without strategic and tactical thinking). And finally, you like the MOBA genre the least. So don’t even try to find teammates for it in the general chat (it won’t work anyway).
Let’s talk about your other hobbies. In addition to video games, you are involved in sports and fitness (a healthy body means a healthy mind!), car tuning (surprised? We’re not), as well as programming, software development, and 3D design (now we know where to look for the future of the gaming industry; keep it up!). All of these options received more than 19% of the votes each.
So, that’s it. It was very interesting for us to see your answers. Thank you again for your participation! Congratulations on the arrival of the year 2026, and good luck in battles!
