Crossout is the post-apocalyptic MMO Action game in which you can craft your unique battle vehicles from a myriad of interchangeable parts, ride them directly into combat and destroy your enemies in explosive PvP online battles in the air and on the ground.

[PS4] Crossout 1.54. Horsemen of Apocalypse

Load your weapons, survivors! In the update Crossout 1.54, we will add new relic weapons, many new features for clan battles and make a number of necessary balance tweaks. See you in the Wasteland!

Clans and clan battles

  • Now the head of the clan can appoint deputies — officers.
    • Officers can accept and reject players' applications for membership in the clan.
    • Officers can remove players from the clan.
    • Officers can change the message of the day and the rules for accepting applications.
    • The head of the clan can appoint as many officers as he likes.
    • Only the clan leader can remove an officer from the clan.
  • Added the option to change the name of the clan and its tag for in-game coins.
  • Now all clans participating in clan battles will be divided into 6 leagues, depending on the clan's rating points. 
  • The current ratings of all clans are reset so that all participants of the updated clan battles are in equal conditions. 
  • The list of leagues is as follows (in descending order of rating):
    • Diamond League (600+ rating points)
    • Golden League (599 - 450 rating points)
    • Silver League (449 - 300 rating points)
    • Bronze League (299 - 200 rating points)
    • Wooden League (199 - 100 rating points)
    • Base League (99 - 0 rating points)
  • After the weekly roundup, each clan enters the league one level lower, but with the maximum rating value for this league. The exceptions are the clans of the “Base League”, whose rating points are reset. 

For example: if by the end of the week your clan is in the Silver League, then from the beginning of the next week it will be in the Bronze League with a rating of 299 points.

  • Players can now receive uranium ore for victories in clan battles. The amount of ore you receive depends on which league your clan currently belongs to (note that the values may still change in future updates):
    • Diamond League - 2 units of uranium ore for victory.
    • From Gold to Bronze League - 1 unit of uranium ore for victory.
    • Wooden and Base leagues do not receive uranium ore for victories.
  • Because of this change, we added a weekly limit of 100 units of uranium ore. The limit does not include the amount of ore that you receive with the weekly clan battle roundup.
  • Now the “New Scanner” increases the amount of uranium ore received per each win in clan battles as well as the weekly limit of uranium. Attention! The Scanner doesn’t increase the amount of uranium ore earned for place, that your clan occupies in the leaderboard.
  • The amount of scrap metal issued at the end of the battle has been increased.
  • Now, to complete the weekly challenge for victories in clan battles, you need to win 5 battles instead of 10.

Changes in the format “Best of 3”

We changed the way how a draw in a round affects the final score in a battle. 

  • Now a draw automatically counts as a victory in the round for both teams. 
  • If one of the clans wins in the first round, and the next round ends in a draw, then the victory in the battle with a score of 2-1 is awarded to the winning team from the first round. 
  • In situations where the score in the battle is equal (1-1) and the final round ends in a draw, overtime begins, which follows the new rules:
    • In the “Encounter” scenario, a new control point appears in the centre of the map, which can be quickly captured. 
    • In the “Assault” scenario, the team bases become inactive, and a new control point that needs to be captured appears on the map.
    • In parallel, a storm begins at the location, homing in on the new point.
    • Victory is awarded to the clan, which will capture the point or destroy all opponents.

New relic weapons!

Machine Gun “Punisher”

Specifications:

According to popular belief, only Nomads can get out of anomalies alive. No wonder. With the “Punisher” on the hood, anyone could.

Shotgun “Breaker”

  • Unique feature: “The last shot before overheating deals 100% more damage”.

Lunatic shotguns are becoming worse. “Breaker” will destroy anyone too stupid to come close.

Course gun “CC-18 Typhoon”

Specifications:

  • Durability: 950 pts.
  • Energy consumption: 6 pts.
  • Mass: 2200 kg.
  • Unique feature: “Hitting the enemy disables the control of the armoured vehicle for 1 s.”

This Steppenwolf project is the next step towards increasing the power and range of guns. A hit from a “Typhoon” is a disaster for the enemy.

Banners and patches

  • The mechanics of sequential unlocking of challenges from the subsections “Missions” and “Raids” have been removed. Now players can complete challenges from these subsections in any order.
  • Now, assistance in destruction is also taken into account in the progress of tasks to destroy enemies in missions and raids. Requirements for the number of enemies destroyed will be proportionally increased.

Attention! Due to the change of mechanics, the unfinished progress in obtaining patches associated with the destruction of enemies is reset. Only progress of not yet received patches is subject to reset! The reset does not affect the patches you already earned.

  • Now the player's banner is displayed on the garage screen.
  • Two additional settings were added to control the transparency of banners and the map displayed by pressing the “Tab” key:
    • Opacity of players’ banners
    • Map opacity
  • Now notifications about the receipt of a new patch are displayed in the upper right corner of the screen.
  • In the challenge “Nomad hunt: Veteran”, the task for 5 victories in the “Race” is replaced by the task for 5 first places by scored points in the raid. If the “MVP” task has already been completed before the update, the new “Champion” task is also automatically considered as completed. Partial progress of the task “MVP” is not transferred.
  • In the challenge “Cannons: Expert” getting the patch “Cannon mastery 3” now requires you to destroy or help destroy enemies with an epic cannon. Due to the mechanic change, the progress for the earned patches “Cannon mastery 3” is reset.
  • Added the function of patches progress tracking.

It's hard to recognize the heart of a factory range for military equipment in an old hangar sheltered by sand and burnt by the sun. They used to recreate the conditions of real battles, adjust weapons, evaluate bullet ranges, and conduct trial trips here. These days there's life in and around the hangar, but it is very different. 

The gang Horsemen of Apocalypse, the most desperate thugs among the survivors, settled there. Survivors often flock to the test site, but only the best of them are allowed to move to the hangar and enjoy all its benefits.

One of the leaders of the gang — Victor Pyrrhus — worked in the financial division of Waderkvarn Corporation before the disaster. Cars were the only thing to match his fascination with his job. And the more lethal the vehicles turned out to be, the more they attracted his attention. Though everyone laughed at him behind his back, Victor personally participated in every test of armoured vehicles. During one of them, a piece of plating fell from a great height and hit him on the neck not covered by a helmet. After being treated on site, Victor was left in the infirmary of the test site. It was an accident, but it was precisely the thing that saved him from the madness of crossout that swept the planet.

Victor adored armoured vehicles before the disaster, and the crisis awakened a talented mechanic inside him. And the former financier, having several years and a warehouse of military equipment in store, became the chief engineer of the Horsemen of the Apocalypse gang. Now whenever he has free time between shootouts, he listens to blues and builds armoured vehicles for his gang.

Garage and test drive

  • Added special armoured vehicles - targets on a standard test drive map. Each vehicle has a sign that shows the distance towards this target.
  • Added an option to toggle between the available garage appearances. In order to do that you should go to your profile and choose the “Garage” layout.

Game modes

Adventure

  • Now there are hidden cameras at the “Blood rocks”. The destruction of all the cameras unlocks a special medal and a unique “Peeper” decor.
  • Tweaked and improved side missions. 
  • Added the ability to reset the progress of the “Awakening” story missions. The corresponding button is located on the screen with a description of the mode. Attention! The option to reset the progress is unlocked only after the completion of the “Awakening” storyline! Repeating the storyline gives you a smaller reward.
  • Fixed a bug where the display of the story mission completion area could overlap with the side mission execution area or disappear altogether.
  • Fixed a bug where the wheels of “Fortune” did not deal damage to the totem in the mission “When the fire nation attacked”.
  • Improved environment collision models for the Blood Rocks location.

Parts

Structural parts

  • Now, with each new level of prestige in the “Steppenwolfs” fraction, the player will receive random structural parts from the following list (until all the parts are received):
    • “Western Front” and “Eastern Front” — 1 pc each (both parts are issued for one prestige level).
    • “Line of defence” - 2 pc. (both parts are issued for one prestige level).
    • “Vanguard” - 1 pc.
    • “Wedge” - 1 pc.
    • “Home front” - 1 pc.
  • Thus, all structural parts can be obtained for 5 levels of prestige with the “Steppenwolfs” fraction.
  • Attention! The parts are issued for each new level of prestige obtained after the update. Prestige levels received before the update are not counted, and the parts are not given for them.
  • If you purchased the “War” pack, then if you increase the level of prestige with the “Steppenwolfs” fraction, additional structural parts will not be issued.

Cabins

Icebox

The unique cabin feature has been improved by 5%. Now the damage of weapons with limited angles of rotation is increased by 15%.

Developer Comment: At the moment, the unique feature of the “Icebox” is ineffective compared to the perks of other cabins of epic rarity. The change will improve the efficiency of the cabin in crafts with weapons with limited angles.

Weapons

‘Lancelot’ explosives

Changed the unique feature of the weapon. Now: “The higher the car’s speed, the more damage the blast deals. Max. efficiency: +75% to damage at 100 km/h.”

Developer comment: In our opinion, the current unique feature of the spear does not bring diversity to the gameplay. In most cases, it all comes down to moving around the base to charge the perk and increase damage. A new unique feature will allow diversifying the gameplay with “Lancelot” because now damage will depend on the ability to maintain speed and manoeuvre.

Hardware

Radar “Oculus VI”

The radius of the detection of invisible enemies increased from 125 to 150 m.

Developer comment: The current range of the “Oculus” is not enough to fight invisible enemies. Often, due to their high speed, players with a radar do not have enough time to respond. Increasing the detection range of invisible enemies will fix this. In the future, we plan to discuss additional changes for this radar.

Engine “Golden Eagle”

Changed the unique feature of the engine. Now the engine increases the maximum speed of the tracks and augers by 10 km/h.

Developer comment: At the moment, the unique feature of the "Golden Eagle" is in little demand. We decided to change it so that this engine would better meet the needs of heavy armoured vehicles.

Movement

Auger “Meat Grinder”

  • Auger damage increased by 25%.
  • Maximum travel speed increased from 50 to 60 km/h.

Developer Comment: The current efficiency of the augers is fairly low. This is largely due to the low damage and the complexity of its application due to the low speed of movement. Changes are intended to correct these shortcomings.

Hover “Icarus IV”

Movement part durability reduced from 200 to 160 pts.

Hover “Icarus VII”

Movement part durability reduced from 150 to 135 pts.

Developer comment: At the moment, the efficiency of hovers is still overvalued at low PS rates. A small decrease in durability will allow equating hovers with other movement parts at low PS, while on high PS, a decrease in durability is compensated for by the possibility of installing a larger number of hovers.

Interface

  • Added a speedometer that displays the current speed of your armoured vehicle in km / h. 

Attention! The speedometer operates in test mode. In the future, improvements are possible both in their functionality and in appearance.

  • Added display of maximum speed in the descriptions of cabins, chassis, as well as in the window with information about the current car.
  • The technology tree interface has been improved:
    • When select a part, a context menu appears with all the available actions (quick buy/sell, view characteristics and go to the trading menu).
    • Now the sorting of weapons in the technology tree corresponds to the sorting of parts in storage.
  • Improved visual display of weapon durability
    • For parts whose initial durability is less than 400 units, a loss of 50% durability results in the weapon starting to spark.
    • For parts whose initial durability is higher than 400 units, a loss of 44% of durability results in the appearance of weak sparks. The loss of 67% durability enhances the effect of sparks. The Fat Man, Judge, Tsunami, Mammoth, Executioner, Mandrake and Hurricane guns also emit smoke when they lost 67% of their durability.
  • Reworked the way the information about explosive damage in the characteristics window of explosive modules is displayed.

Miscellaneous

  • The maximum possible number of spaces in the storage increased from 600 to 700.
  • Now items from the “Appearance” store section (except packs that include a portrait) can be purchased an unlimited number of times.
  • Added new music tracks for loading screens.
  • Improved movement sound effects on various surfaces.
  • Optimized effects from the shooting of a Mandrake howitzer and tower cannons.
  • The effect of the unique feature of Lancelot explosives has been improved.
  • The location of the objects on the “Founders Canyon” and “Broken Arrow” maps has been improved.
  • Improved a number of texts and descriptions.

Bug fixes

  • Changed the mechanics of issuing patches “MVP” and “Unyielding”. Now the “MVP” patch is issued to the player of the winning team who scored the most points. The “Unyielding” patch can now be issued to the player of the losing team if he has fulfilled the conditions for receiving it.
  • An interface bug has been fixed where the patches obtained in raids could be displayed on the mission results screen.
  • Fixed a bug in which readiness for battle was removed from the whole group if one of the participants went to the exhibition during the search for a battle.
  • The spawn points on the maps “Eastern Array” and “Cursed mines” are improved.
  • Fixed a bug with incorrect display of places occupied by players at the end of Battle Royale.
  • Fixed a bug with an incorrect location of environmental models on the “Wrath of Khan” map.
  • Fixed a bug with the appearance of gaps in the technology tree when using certain screen resolutions.
  • Fixed a bug with incorrect display of the “Humpback” cabin in the part card.
  • Now, when turning the armoured vehicle and being in the zone of interaction with any object, priority is given to using the jack.
  • Fixed a bug in which the projectiles of “Fortune” and “Porcupine” flying under an armoured vehicle with hovers could significantly affect the height of the flight of an armoured vehicle.
  • The collision model of decor “Neon Santa” is improved.
  • The location of the welding points at the “BC-17 Tsunami” cannon has been improved.
