Preliminary information on the Crossout update 0.9.135

Survivors! This week we plan to release another Crossout update. As usual, we are sharing the most important changes that you can expect in the near future. Let's go!

Changes in hover mechanics

Thank you all for participating in the testing and actively discussing the planned changes! At the moment we are studying the results and plan to introduce a number of changes, taking into account the analysis of constructive feedback and statistical data. We do not plan to include recent hover changes from the test server in the nearest update (0.9.135).

New pack

With version 0.9.135 a special “Drive” pack will appear in the game with the armoured vehicle “Bully”. It is planned that the unique structural parts from the pack will be available for prestige levels with the “Lunatics” fraction. Please note that getting the parts will be possible only when you reach new prestige levels. The levels obtained earlier will not be counted.

We also plan to lower the requirements for the production of “Storage Expansion” and “Blueprint Storage”. Now their recipes will require 200 units of electronics, instead of the current 350 units.

Let's move over to weapon balance changes. In the upcoming update we plan to:

  • Slightly increase the cooling time of the shotgun “BG2 Goblin”.

Despite it being a course weapon and a certain difficulty in its use, Goblin has an unsurpassed efficiency compared to the rest of the rare weaponry. With this change, we want to slightly adjust its effectiveness and make the difference when playing with Goblins even more visible compared to other shotguns.

  • Slightly reduce the damage of the shotgun “Spitfire”.

High levels of durability and damage of the shotgun “Spitfire” are the reasons for the high effectiveness of this frontal shotgun. We remind you that the main feature of this weapon is the increased durability, therefore, to adjust the effectiveness of the weapon, we slightly reduce the damage it deals.

  • Reduce the damage of the guided missile “Clarinet TOW”.

According to the latest statistical data, the effectiveness of the “TOW” missile has increased significantly, and in almost all PS brackets. The damage it deals is particularly prominent, which is comparable to the damage dealt by legendary weapons and needs to be adjusted.

  • Slightly increase reloading speed of the shotgun “Fafnir”.

By itself, “Fafnir” is a good weapon, but it falls a bit short of the rest of epic guns in terms of efficiency. Increasing its reloading speed, like with its “younger brother” Junkbow, will allow to correct the situation and make the shotgun more effective and appropriate for epic rarity.

  • Increase the range of the Aurora laser and the rate of enemy part heating.

We agree with the opinion of our players and we believe that the weapon doesn’t have enough range to work better in conjunction with many guns. Increasing the heating rate of enemy parts will also increase the effectiveness of the weapon and make it more competitive compared to the “Incinerator” catapult, which partially occupied the role of a support weapon, increasing the damage dealt to enemy vehicles.

  • Slightly reduce the durability of the plasma emitter “Helios”.

First, we would like to note the role originally conceived for Helios. This is a “glass cannon”, dealing significant damage, but extremely fragile and vulnerable. And, if there are no problems with damage at the moment, then the current durability of the weapon is too high, and we plan to adjust it a little.

  • Increase the accuracy for “Mandrake”.

Most survivors know that “Mandrake” is a source of great damage, and a good hit can deal serious damage to an opponent’s armoured vehicle. But despite this, the low accuracy and randomness of the spread of its projectiles in some cases do not allow to effectively take advantage of all its abilities. By increasing accuracy, we plan to reduce shell spread and increase the stability of the gun.

As part of the “bug fixing” routine, we plan to replace the upgrade of the crossbow “Phoenix” “Dangerous” with the improvement “Explosive”. Thereby, we will correct the error in which the previous upgrade did not increase the damage dealt by the crossbow.

That's all for today. Follow the news from the Wasteland to always be aware of the latest information!

Please note that the plans described in this article are preliminary and may change in the development process or never make it into the game.
