Once, it was an autonomous and well-equipped military base, erected in the middle of the desert, hidden amongst the rocks. Capable of countering attacks by superior enemy forces, it was looted and almost destroyed by its own military staff in the first weeks after the cataclysm.
For many years, the bunker lay lost in the desert, left without attention until a sect of sun worshipers who had embraced solar technology settled nearby. In just a few months, they managed to repair the gates and supply the base with electricity.
When the new settlement piqued raiders' interests, they found a well-fortified and almost impregnable city, built inside the bedrock.
Now Rock City is booming, mainly exporting charged batteries, and it is often attacked by bandits and its competitors.
