Balance changes for weapons with explosive damage and other tweaks. Mass testing

Today we will host the final test before the update 0.11.20. In the description of this news article, we have indicated all currently planned balance tweaks. Please note that all the changes are indicated regarding the parameters of the weapons on the game (live) server!b

We remind you that all the new features described in the “Developer blog” are not final and may be changed before they are introduced into the game or may not make it into the game at all. You can study all the planned changes in detail on the special test server!

General (all types of weapons and missiles)

Now projectiles deal damage not only when the projectile explodes (shrapnel), but also when the projectile contacts the part. Part of the damage dealt by fragments during an explosion is transferred to damage upon contact with the part.

Course cannons

Avenger 57mm

  • Shrapnel damage reduced by 60%.
  • Explosion radius increased by 35%.

Judge 76mm

  • Shrapnel damage reduced by 60%.
  • Explosion radius increased by 35%.

Prosecutor 76mm

  • Shrapnel damage reduced by 60%.
  • Explosion radius increased by 22%.

Executioner 88 mm

  • Shrapnel damage reduced by 60%.
  • Explosion radius increased by 20%.

BC-17 Tsunami

  • Shrapnel damage reduced by 60%.
  • Explosion radius increased by 35%.
  • Changed the perk: “Every 2 seconds of immobility increase damage by 10%. The effect stacks up to 6 times.”

CC-18 Typhoon

  • Shrapnel damage reduced by 60%.
  • Explosion radius increased by 35%.
  • Changed the perk: “Hitting an enemy reduces its reload speed and weapon cooling time by 40% for 3 sec”.

Tower cannons

  • Shrapnel damage reduced by 40%.
  • Explosion radius increased by 33%.
  • Maximum spread in motion reduced by 13%.
  • The spread when turning the tower is reduced by 20%.
  • Durability increased by 10%.

ZS-33 Hulk

  • Shrapnel damage reduced by 40%.
  • Explosion radius increased by 33%.
  • Maximum spread in motion reduced by 13%.
  • The spread when turning the tower is reduced by 20%.
  • Durability increased by 10%.

ZS-34 Fat Man

  • Shrapnel damage reduced by 40%.
  • Explosion radius increased by 33%.

Grenade launchers

GL-55 Impulse and Retcher

  • Upgrade bonus to projectile speed reduced from 25% to 15%.
  • Increased maximum firing range of grenade launchers:
    • GL: from 300 to 400 m.
    • Retcher: from 450 to 500 m.

Weapons of the “Founders”

Blockchain

  • Maximum spread in motion reduced by 33%.
  • Maximum spread while still reduced by 25%.
  • Damage increased by 10%.
  • Perk damage bonus increased from 150 to 200%.

Trigger

  • Turn speed increased by 37%.
  • Reloading time increased from 2 to 2.5 seconds.
  • Maximum firing range reduced from 150 to 110 m.
  • Optimal firing range reduced from 100 to 90 m.

Annihilator

  • Now the drone changes its position during the attack once every 2 seconds. (previously — once every 1.5 seconds.)
  • Damage reduced by 8%.
  • Drone attack range increased by 10%.
  • Drone altitude reduced by 10%.

Now your attacking drone will not be so close and high that it will make it a little easier to destroy it.

We would also like to note that we are aware of the controversial physical model of the drone and plan to make it larger. We plan to carry out the work after the update 0.11.20, and the correction is planned for the next major update after 0.11.20.

Plasma emitters

Synthesis, Prometheus V and Helios

  • Damage reduced by 10%.
  • Now for firing it is enough to hold the fire key. The weapon will automatically accumulate charge and fire.

The new shooting mechanics proved very good and increased the efficiency of these guns. To keep the weapons in balance, we slightly reduce the damage they deal.

Grenadier drone

  • Spread increased by 33%.
  • Projectile blast radius reduced by 20%.
  • Drone durability reduced by 17%.

Pulse Rifle R-37-39 Adapter

Now for firing it is enough to hold the fire key. The weapon will automatically accumulate charge and fire.

How to get to the test server?

If you have ever participated in testing features on a special server, then just start the Launcher from the folder with the test client and wait for the update to complete.

  • Create a new folder for the game on your hard drive.
  • Download the Launcher from this link. The file name should not contain numbers indicating that the file is a duplicate. Please note that you should launch the file that does not contain any digits (1), (2), etc. in its name. If, when starting the installed launcher, you are logged into the live game servers, you need to delete all downloaded launchers from the download folder and try again.
  • Start the Launcher and install the game into the folder you created (for example D:\Public test\Crossout).
  • After the installation is complete, start the Launcher and log into the game with your username and password.
  • The progress of your main account will be transferred to the test server (including parts in storage and levels of reputation with factions).
  • After logging into the server, to transfer progress from your account, press the “Esc” key and select “Copy account data”.
  • Please note the schedule of the test server:
    • Friday, March 20, 2020: from 13:30 to 19:00 (GMT time)
    • Saturday, March 21, 2020 from 15:00 to 18:00 (GMT)
    • Sunday, March 22, 2020 from 15:00 to 18:00 (GMT)
  • Any progress you make on the test server will not be transferred to the live game servers (INCLUDING ATTEMPTS TO BUY PACKS).

You can report all issues found on the test server here.

The public test server is intended only for testing of the upcoming update, and may not accommodate all players without exception. However, absolutely anyone can join the server, as long as there are free spots.
